Recording species in Kirkmaiden

One of the important activities of Kirkmaiden Natural History Group is to keep records of the wildlife that occurs in the area.  This will build into an important archive so we can compare current distributions of species against those of the past, and identify trends.  This is of particular importance as we start to see the effects of climate change.

We encourage people to help us gather these records and the form below is for you to enter anything you see in our area.  The results are sent to us and enable our Recorders to analyse and collate the data.  We need data on every species, no matter how usual or mundane.  If your sighting is unusual or rare, our recorders may wish to contact you for more information to validate the sighting.  If you are able to take a photo, so much the better!
